Conversations with my oldest children

Imagine me at church, pushing a loaded triplet stroller with two preschoolers tagging behind:

Reagan: Moooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.............you are so MEAN!!!! I don't want to wear my coat. Everyone is LAUGHING at me. It's so HOT outside. You are the meanest in the WORLD.

Me:
It's March, and it's only 51 degrees out. It may feel like summer, but trust me....wear your coat. If you insist on taking it off, feel free. I love you too much to argue over this, but you WILL be cold.

Reagan:
:::::rolling eyes::::: I can't BELIEVE I have to wear a COAT in this WEATHER!

(ummmm, she does not turn 5 for another month. WHERE is this attitude coming from??!?!?!)

Last night Ethan has a "nightmare" and Josh goes up and brings him into our bed. I was so out of it, that I had no idea what was going on until I felt the drool of an almost 4 year old on my face...... Here is our conversation this morning:

Me:
What happened last night Ethan? Why did you come into Mommy and Daddy's bed?

Ethan:
Cause' I WUB you.

Me:
Daddy said you had a nightmare.

Ethan:
Oh, yea. There were monsters in it. I think I will have a nightmare every night. :::insert quirky Ethan smile:::

Me:
Why's that?

Ethan:
Cause' Sleepin' in your bed is SO comfortable.

Reagan:
Okay.

Me:
Just Okay???? What happened! It was lunch day, you love the long day!

Reagan:
I think you love me too much.

Me:
Huh?

Reagan:
Everyone else got YUMMY food.
