Yesterday was PRESENTS day NOT Presidents Day. Inform the Post Office.

Ethan: "Sissy told me that today is Presents Day. Where are my Presents?"
Me: "Today is Presidents Day Ethan. NOT Presents day. There is no such thing as Presents day. You will have to wait for your birthday to get a gift."
Ethan: "What about Vawentine's day? It's Vawentine's day? I want Cawcolate!"
Me: "ummmm. no." It's not Valentine's Day either, you know that."
Ethan: "I know. It's Present Day. Sissy told me, but you are keeping all the presents for yourself." "hummph" (whining)
Me: "Ethan, It's PRESIDENT'S day. It's where we honor all of our past PRESIDENTS. All of the men who have led our country!!!"
Ethan (looking unconvinced): "What?"
Me: "Nevermind" "Let Mommy finish sweeping the floor before Daddy gets home."
Ethan: "Where did you hide the presents?"

Sounds very similar to the conversation I had with my daughter when I was trying to explain she was out of school! What is a president...why are we honroing them, you know all the things they really dont understand at that age lol!
