Hello Joel!!!

In the past week Joel has started to BLOOM!!!!! It's been WONDERFUL to watch! My completely non-verbal toddler seems to be coming out of his haze! Just this morning he looked at Crackers (our cat) and waved, and said (as clear as a bell!) "Hi!"

SHOCKING!!!!

He can't say "mama" or "dada" but this morning he said "Hi!" to the cat!!!!!!!!! Yeay Joel!!!!

In my mind the most shocking news of all is that within the past week Joel has started having "conversations" with us. We ask him a questions, and he answers in a string of babble. It might not seem like much, but it's a HUGE difference to us. He's been COMPLETELY non-verbal....including babbling. Now he seems to understand communication, and he babbles his baby words almost all day long.

Needless to say we are SO excited!!!! This is a HUGE LEAP for Joel. HUGE.

I am so proud of him, and I hope this rapid progression continues!
