We have our garden in for the year! Rows of Corn, Tomato, Pepper, Cucumbers, and our Strawberry patch is ready to grow. We plant on Memorial Day every year. Around here we are not really safe from freeze until Memorial Day, actually a lot of people planted early and lost their gardens due to a late freeze around the 18th or 19th.
I love having our big garden. It's a great learning experience for the kids and they actually get excited about caring and tending to the garden. They have learned that patience pays off, and we get yummy vegetables. Our blueberry bushes, and grape vines are also looking promising for the year! I am pretty excited to get into the swing of summer, even if it's not my favorite time of year.
The kids have been loving spending more time outside, and so have I. The babies enjoy the outdoors as much as the big kids...and are so bummed out for days like today when it's rainy and cool.
So....3 days of preschool left, and it's officially summer!!!!
