"There IS something wrong with him."

These words came from my wonderful doctor today. Dr. L listens to me, and takes my concerns seriously. After hearing about what's been happening with Mr. J, and observing him for a while, he agrees that there IS something wrong with him.

Mr. J has an appointment at CHoP on Tuesday (yep, that's pretty darn fast) in the Special Care Unit.

I am blessed with a doctor who takes the concerns of parents seriously. I am heartbroken to hear that he agrees that something is wrong with him. The words EEG, MRI, and Neurologist are going to be a common part of my vocabulary until Mr. J is diagnosed. Keep us in your prayers.

Oh Ch...Mrs. P, My heart is so heavy for you! I know that's it's your worst fear confirmed (or seems to be). You know, as I do, that CHoP is a great place to be...the best there! They will take good care of you and MJ. We are so fortunate to be so close!
Praying that there are many hands and hearts to walk this road with you!! If you need something, please let me know! I may not be able to do it myself, but I have no fear calling and asking others to help!
One thing I know and remind myself with our daughter, which you know her problems...ALL children have "special needs"!
Praying, praying, praying! Love, MELANIE

I'm sure you're somewhat relieved to finally feel heard and to be moving forward. But, it has to be really scary, too. I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers. Post asap about what you find out on Tuesday.

I don't even know what to say to you Mrs. P. Just know I am here for you and if you need ANY help with the kids while you are figuring this out. I am free ALL the time! Seriously and I would be honored to help in any way you need. Just holler! We are just up the road. I will be on my knees for you. God is NEVER CHANGING. He is right there even when you don't feel Him and He will never forsake you!

Oh my! Thank God that they are getting you in so quickly! I will be praying for you and MJ for the right doctors and the answers that you so desperately seek! Children's is a WONDERFUL place. If there is any way that I can help you out (besides prayer, because I will DEFINITELY be doing that!!!), please don't hesitate to ask! There are SO MANY who would be willing to help!

BIG HUGS!!!

A thought hit me last night and I wanted to post again...
You went to the doctors over and over again telling them you had a gut feeling, and you were dismissed. Yet, you persissted, and now, you are being listened to. GOOD FOR YOU for fighting for your kids! You're a great mom!!!!

Thanks everyone. My heart feels so much lighter knowing how much prayer is going into my baby.

Mr. P is taking the afternoon off next week, but if we need subsequent appointments I may be calling on you guys!!! :)
